I finally have an office with a door. For the past two years, I've enjoyed working away in the sunroom in our home. The view is lovely, but the noise was wrecking me. Kitchen noises, the coming and going of family, the playful pets -- it was all distraction and stress. So now the door is closed and I can work in peace and quiet.

Fabulous Fair

The 50th annual Hector Fair kicks off at 6 p.m. today with music by Brett Beardslee at 7 p.m., carnival rides, vendors, food and tons more at the Hector Fire Dept. Field, Route 414 (nine miles north of Watkins Glen) in Hector.
